With today’s ever increasing cyber threats and with new solutions being invented to counter these threats and help ease the management of cyber security operations, it’s getting very difficult for organisations to have a clear vision to risk mitigation and define a clear future roadmap. Also, with shortage of global cyber skills reaching mammoth proportions, it’s getting very difficult for the organisations to first hire the right talent and subsequently retain them. The shortage of skills is leading to organisations to outsource their cyber security operations which again is not really solving the problem as MSS partners also are struggling to hire and retain talent. Mid size and small organisations who are equally regulated on compliance and other statutory industry requirements are the worst impacted by this cyber storm where on one end there is complete confusion on what is the right way to mitigate the organisational risk and on the other hand can’t hire and retain cyber talent to address these challenges.

Rockladder aspires to solve this problem by focusing on 3 pillars to unclutter the noise and hype around cyber security. First is the Cyber Consulting & Risk Advisory practice, where it will help organisations define their risk & security posture, identify gaps, define future roadmaps and help meet compliance & ongoing testing needs.

The Second practice is Managed Security Services, which is RockLadder's commitment to walk the talk. RockLadder will take full responsibility to manage customers' ongoing cyber security operations, meet compliances and resolve any breaches.

And finally, to ensure that customers’ interest is protected, the third practice is CISO-As-A-Service which will help Midsize organisations leverage the benefits of an enterprise class CISO skills & requirements, on a part time or SOW based engagement. This person will be on customers side of the table and will be their spokesperson, taking care of their interest.
About the Founder & CEO
After close to 3 decades of success in building & contributing to the growth of organizations in the IT industry with extensive hands-on, result-oriented management experience encompassing most aspects of a business i.e. Operations, Consulting, Marketing & Sales in diverse organizations like IBM, Microsoft, Intel/McAfee, CA, NIIT and close to 2 decades of this spent in the Cyber Security domain, where the industry evolved from AV and Firewall business to today’s sophisticated cyber solutions, Rakesh Kharwal chose to take the plunge to become an entrepreneur with the vision to build a world-class Cyber Security & Analytics company catering to global customers offering innovative solutions and in the process, helping build & mentor top talent.

In his 2 decades of working with top organisations like CA, Microsoft, McAfee, IBM, he realized that the cybersecurity business being very fragmented, with so many start-ups mushrooming with very innovative products on one end and a huge skill gap on the other side with customers and partners, did not help move the needle on improving the cybersecurity posture.
He is on a mission to leverage his relationships across various cyber security stakeholders across corporates, govt’s, OEMs, influencers, and thought leaders to create a platform to foster & mentor top talent for the future, while helping bridge the gap between the customer expectations and product/solutions promise.
